What we believe

At First Baptist Church, we hold to the following beliefs:

• The Scriptures are the complete, preserved word of God;
• The three-in-one Godhead is made up of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
• God has decreed all things after the purpose and pleasure of His own will for the good of His own;
• Man is born into this world fallen and depraved, incapable of believing on Christ on his own;
• Salvation is all of grace through the complete work of Christ and is nothing of our own works;
• The Holy Spirit works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure and will preserve us through eternity;
• We are no longer under the yoke of bondage but live in the liberty of Christ;
